Professor Patricia Gailah Taylor


Master's of Arts in Art History, The University of Texas at Austin 1979.

Bachelor of Fine Arts magna cum laude in Studio
Art, The University of Texas at Austin 1975.
 
 
Professor Taylor has taught on university and college faculties as well as independently. 

Her areas of expertise include: 
     Studio Art
          Drawing, life drawing, oils and watercolor, design, printmaking
     Art History
          Pre-history to Medieval; Medieval to Modern; Women in Art; Contemporary Art
History of Graphic Design, Cultural Foundations of the West, and the history of dance  

Her work has been exhibited and collected throughout the United States,  receiving regional and national recognition. 


Her scholarly writing has been featured in the Journal of the Association for the Interdisciplinary Study of the Arts and other national and international publications.

Her writing on the history of dance has been featured in Arabesque Magazine, Habibi, The Austin Chronicle, among other publications.
